Carolyn Zhao is a writer, editor, and chronic workaholic based in NYC

Since her debut in 2024, Carolyn has been published multiple times in Clarkesworld and in Strange Horizons.

Her fiction has been recognized in The Best American Science Fiction & Fantasy (Notable Story,) featured in The Year’s Top Tales in Space and Time, and reprinted internationally in Science Fiction World, China.

When she is not writing or giving her dog ice cubes, Carolyn can be found cooking dinners with far too much soy sauce.
